Teaching Math Minus Anxiety

 

Description: Mathematics causes anxiety for many people. In this interactive training, participants will first understand how their own math experiences impact their approach to math in the classroom. Participants will then gain strategies to build confidence and competence for effective math instruction!

  • Analyze personal math experiences and the impact it has on your disposition to approaching math
  • Explore the effects of early math instruction
  • Acquire effective instructional strategies to build confidence and competence for math

Audience: Applicable for teachers and administrators of ages (Birth – 12yrs).

Session Specifics: This training uses a visual presentation, group interaction, discussions, demonstration, and hands-on practice during the two hours. Trainer will provide AV equipment, handouts, and certificates. Screen or white wall is needed along with space for group movement.
